Behind many internal marketing teams is a familiar tension created by high expectations, limited resources, shifting algorithms, and the quiet pressure to “just figure it out.” Peach & Mint Co was created in recognition of that reality, not as an agency offering the usual marketing services, but as a platform built by two marketers who have spent years inside the machine.
Co-founders Rebecca Nordqvist and Laura English met in 2021 at a Brisbane digital marketing agency, but the foundations of Peach & Mint Co were laid long before that. Both had navigated the often chaotic early stages of marketing careers (internships without structure, start-ups without tools, agency roles that demanded rapid adaptation, etc.) and had climbed the ranks through a mix of resilience, experimentation, and long hours.
Peach & Mint Co emerged as a response to a gap they recognised: internal marketers are often expected to operate like full-service agencies, yet rarely receive the operational guidance, frameworks, or candid career insight that agency teams benefit from. The platform positions itself as a practical resource hub offering tools, templates, commentary, and what the founders describe as “unsolicited career advice” for marketers who are learning on the job.
Two Different Paths to the Same Place
Rebecca Nordqvist’s path into marketing was shaped by academic ambition and global curiosity. With qualifications spanning Business, Creative Industries, Event Management, Ministry, and a Masters in Digital Communication (alongside travel to more than 40 countries), she entered the workforce equipped with theory but quickly discovered that real-world marketing demands something else entirely.
Her first role at a start-up offered little in the way of structure. From there, she moved into agency life, rotating through roles that ranged from web support to SEO specialist before becoming Operations Manager at a leading Brisbane digital marketing firm. That progression exposed her to the mechanics behind agency systems, from workflow bottlenecks to client retention models, shaping her analytical, systems-oriented approach to marketing.
Laura English’s trajectory was less linear but equally formative. After studying Journalism and Creative Writing, she began in public relations before transitioning into copywriting and Digital PR within Brisbane agencies. Alongside her agency work, she wrote as a music journalist, developing a voice that blends structure with personality.
Laura eventually stepped into leadership roles, becoming Head of SEO & Copywriting and overseeing digital specialists across production teams. Her experience navigating algorithm updates, scaling teams, and co-authoring industry publications contributed to her perspective on how internal marketing roles evolve, and where support structures often fall short.
Where Rebecca leans analytical and operational, Laura brings creative direction and narrative depth. Together, their working relationship developed into a partnership defined by complementary strengths.
A Platform for Internal Marketers
Peach & Mint Co does not function as a traditional consultancy. Instead, it operates as a knowledge resource, offering commentary, educational content, and frameworks for marketers working within organisations rather than agencies. Its audience tends to include in-house marketers who manage everything from SEO to content strategy, often without a large team behind them.
The founders draw heavily from their agency experience, translating operational insights into accessible material for individuals navigating internal roles. Topics range from managing stakeholder expectations to building scalable systems, handling algorithm shifts, and advocating for marketing investment within businesses that may not fully understand the discipline.
The tone of the platform is candid, occasionally irreverent, but rooted in lived experience. It reflects the founders’ belief that marketing education rarely covers the realities of workload, career navigation, or the emotional labour of constant adaptation.
Built on Professional Experience, Not Posturing
Peach & Mint Co is shaped by the founders’ shared history inside Brisbane’s digital agency ecosystem, where rapid change, performance metrics, and product development are constant. Both Rebecca and Laura have led teams, developed digital products, and overseen campaign strategies, experiences that inform the practical nature of the platform’s content.
Their combined background spans SEO, operations management, digital PR, copywriting, and team leadership. That breadth allows them to address marketing from multiple vantage points: strategic, technical, and cultural.
A New Kind of Support Structure
At its core, Peach & Mint Co reflects a generational shift in how marketers seek professional development. Rather than relying solely on formal qualifications or corporate mentorship structures, many internal marketers turn to peer-driven insights and real-world case studies.
While still relatively new as a formal entity, Peach & Mint Co draws on more than a decade of collective industry experience. Its trajectory suggests a focus not on scale, but on relevance: offering grounded, experience-based insight for marketers navigating increasingly complex digital landscapes.
For internal marketing teams operating without large support networks, that kind of resource can be less about inspiration and more about validation; the reassurance that the chaos, the pivots, and the constant recalibration are not anomalies, but part of the profession itself.
