Aldi has issued a recall of Reese’s Dipped Pretzels due to the presence of an undeclared allergen – peanut – sold in stores nationwide.
The packets of chocolate-peanut snacks weighing 120g have been available for sale with a best-before date of 02-2023 without clearly stating the presence of peanuts, which could be allergic to peanut-intolerant people.
The threat to peanut-allergy consumers forced the supermarket to recall the product immediately from all the stores.
“Consumers who have a peanut allergy or intolerance should not consume this product and should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund,” Food Standards Australia said.
“Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.”
Anyone with any further queries could react out to Aldi on 1800 709 993.
