In the ever-growing fashion industry, fast-fashion has dominated the market and continues to threaten the environment in both the near and distant future. Amongst the clutter of these brands, HATDENIM stands out as a beacon of sustainability, high quality and sophistication.

Focused on creating a collection of designs that will outlive emerging trends and fads, the range is made to last a lifetime through its minimalistic elements and timeless styles. Primarily targeted at sophisticated women who want to add some edge to their wardrobe, the Australian-designed brand revolves around sourcing, designing and creating casual clothing elements that make a statement without harming the environment.

More than just fitting the stereotypical sizing that most Australian clothing brands utilise, HATDENIM is also passionate about creating quality women’s clothing that suits all bodies. To do so, the brand constantly innovates its styles and sizes and uses a range of models to guarantee that all can find comfort in their clothes.

HATDENIM founder, Hannah Akinyemi

As a long-time lover of fashion, Hannah Akinyemi created the label in 2019 after noticing a gap in the sustainable fashion market. Primarily, she noticed that what many sustainable clothes lacked was edge, colour and style. On top of this, she had often struggled to find affordable clothes that fit, commenting, “Growing up, I could never find the right jeans for my body shape and height. It was either that the jeans were big or not long enough.” Drawing upon her African heritage and culture for inspiration, her design process allows her to create unique and affordable luxury pieces that young women, mums and businesswomen alike can all incorporate into their wardrobes.

The HATDEMIN range creates timeless looks for all shapes and sizes.

Beginning her career as a brand stylist, Hannah is also keen on helping women style their HATDENIM piece to get the most out of them. The HATDENIM website hosts several lookbooks that show women how one article of clothing can be incorporated into multiple looks, perfect for every occasion.

As a fashion designer, Hanna also encourages her customers to have fun with their designs and let their personalities shine through in the outfits they build, as this will help them love their clothes for longer.

HATDENIM has many new designs and styles in the works and has a range of quality products available. To purchase your first or next HATDENIM piece, visit the website here. Alternatively, you can check out Instagram for more styling inspiration.
