The new coles catalogue revealed a range of frozen pies nationwide a few months ago featuring cheeseburger and Mexican burritos, now people are obsessed with these two new pies. Alo Baker, TV and radio presenter, posted a video on TikTok, asking followers if the cheeseburger and burrito are any good and his post was flooded with messages by the followers, responding him to go with cheeseburger and burrito.

However, everyone has different reactions to the new pies in the market. Some were complaining about the cheeseburgers, saying cheeseburgers taste like a pickle. If you’re a fan of pickles then this can be good news for you.

Some of the flavour combos in the new coles catalogue like saucing tomato pies and spicy burritos are the first of their kind in Australia. Different flavours are locally made in Australia using 100 per cent Aussie beef with no hormones and two vegan options are also available which is good news for vegans. There are six flavours including mushrooms & lentils out of which spicy burrito is the most popular among the people.

Simon Mandelbaum, Coles’ category manager for dairy, frozen and convenience, said “we know our customers are excited about the new flavours, since we launched our frozen pie range, the spicy burrito is favourite among the customers.”

Over 7500 tonnes of frozen meat pie were sold last year, said Mr. Mandelbaum.

YouTuber, Greg, from Greg’s Kitchen, made a video on the review of cheeseburger pie, which got more than 17,000 views on YouTube. He enjoyed the cheeseburger and said he never tasted a cheeseburger like this one before while devouring the pie. He enjoyed the Smokey flavour.

People are enjoying the six different flavours and delighted with the innovative flavours particularly when it comes to combining local products with modern twists. The cheeseburger has got the most attention online and people are loving it.

Meat pie and cheeseburger can be your ultimate treat because of their innovative flavours. Try them if you haven’t yet, it’s going to be your best treat if you haven’t tried them yet.
