Starbucks is suffering from a shortage of supplies of crucial ingredients which in the US means that some of the drinks are not available to the customers.

The Coffee shop chain said it was seeing a “temporary shortage of supplies or products, such as wheat and milk.

‘Inconvenience To Customers’

A Starbucks spokesman said: “Specific items will vary depending on the market, and stores, and some stores are experiencing problems with the variety of items at the same time.

She also apologised for the “inconvenience” that is faced by the customers and said the company was working with its suppliers in order to fill up the inventory of the goods.

The Starbucks in the United States has its app furnished with an apology message as well so that a customer can see it once they open the app.

Which Ingredients Are In Short Supply?

Other than oats milk, Starbucks has given no other information about which other supplies have been affected.

However, in an internal memo that was made accessible to Business Insider team, it suggests that 25 different products, including, syrup, nuts, tea, bags, and iced green tea are in short supply.

Bad Customer Experience And Reviews

Caffeine addicts on social media have also been complaining about not being able to order their favourite drinks.

That said, they noticed that their local stores don’t have a sweet flavor or juice.

Some of the employees also wrote about the frustration of having to explain the situation to the customers.

One of them wrote that the company had not expected a large number of customers returning to the cafes and restaurants after the easing of coronavirus restrictions.

Earlier this week, the company announced that customers in the United States will be allowed to start using the reusable cups over again in order to get a discount on their drinks.
