Centrelink payment dates will be adjusted due to the upcoming holidays in the coming months.

Australians receiving Centrelink Payments are advised to check their payment schedules as the payment dates might be affected due to the Easter and Anzac Day public holidays.

Services Australia has announced that the Centrelink recipients will see date adjustments due to the national holidays, but it will try to deposit the funds without any delays.

Why Are Centrelink Payment Dates Changing?

During the public holidays, the banks and government offices may not operate as usual and might be closed depending on the dates.

Due to the bank and office closures, some may receive payments earlier than usual, while others could experience slight delays.

Those receiving Centrelink payments around the holidays could see their funds deposited earlier or later than their regular schedule.

Centrelink Payments will be affected due to public holidays.

In 2025, Easter is set to fall between April 18 and April 21 this year. Good Friday is on March 18, and Easter Monday will be on April 21, both being public holidays.

Whereas, Anzac Day is on April 25. These holidays could affect the Centrelink payment dates, so it is expected that the payments will be processed earlier to prevent delays.

What Should Centrelink Recipients Do?

To avoid confusion amid the holidays, Services Australia recommends that Centrelink recipients should:

  • Log in to their myGov account to check updated payment dates.
  • Use the Express Plus Centrelink mobile app for any new updates.
  • Make sure they report income early, as failing could result in payment delays.
  • Keep checking bank accounts around holidays, as funds may be deposited earlier than expected.

As per Services Australia, if the payments are processed earlier than usual. Then the next scheduled payment will also be processed as usual without any date adjustments.

Who will be affected?

Centrelink payment recipients, including the Age Pensioners, JobSeekers, Youth Allowance, Parents, and Carers, should keep an eye on the adjusted dates affected by the holidays.

Besides, those receiving Family Tax Benefits or other government support payments must also see the adjusted schedules to avoid confusion.

Stay Informed About Any Centrelink Payment Adjustment Dates

Centrelink encourages Australians to stay updated about the payment schedules by regularly checking official sources.

If there is any confusion regarding the Centrelink payment, recipients can contact Services Australia directly through the website or the customer service hotline.
