Elon Musk, the world’s richest man and founder of SpaceX, Tesla, and The Boring Company, has offered a million doge bounty for anyone who can prove he or his family ever owned an emerald mine. This comes after persistent rumors in the media that he is a nepo baby, or the son of a wealthy family.

There have been reports, such as in the New Yorker, claiming that Errol had an interest in an emerald mine. However, Elon Musk has publicly disputed this, and he has offered the million doge bounty to anyone who can provide evidence that he or his family ever held an interest in an emerald mine.

The family’s business connections, however, are well-documented. Elon’s father Errol was involved in several companies, including a sailmaking business and a software company. Musk’s mother Maye has also had a successful career in modeling and dietetics.

DogeDesigner’s Twitter account posted: “Elon Musk never owned an emerald mine. As a rebuttal to false media reports, I’m offering 69.420 Doge to anyone who can provide proof of its existence. Send me the proof and you’ll receive the Doge! In response, Mr Musk wrote: “I’ll pay 1 million Dogecoin if someone can provide proof of this mine’s existence.”

In an interview with Forbes in 2014, Mr Musk was quoted as saying, “This is going to sound slightly crazy, but my father also had a share in an emerald mine in Zambia.” Although the article is no longer live on the Forbes website, there is a report that claims he did make this statement.
