Did Logan Paul Really Lose $3.5 Million In Pokemon Scam?

Logan Paul, one of the biggest social media influencers and Pokemon enthusiasts on the planet was duped off $3.5 million after one of his recent Pokemon purchases turned out to be fraudulent. The social media star recently spent $3.5 million on ‘supposedly’ rare first edition Pokemon base cards set.

Taking to his official Twitter handle on 20th December, he wrote “Just dropped $3,500,000 on this sealed & authenticated box of 1st Edition Pokémon cards.”

Logan Paul Confesses He Was Scammed

However, soon after Logan Paul announced his new and expensive Pokemon investment to the world, he started receiving messages about the possibility that his cards are fake. Even the famous outlet that covers all-things Pokemon (PokeBeach) reported in their story that Logan Paul’s most recent base set purchase might be fake. (Due courtesy to them).

Some other prominent card collectors have also rang the alarm about the base set card not being truly authentic. It seems to some card collectors that Logan Paul has been duped by the seller.

However, after Logan Paul confirmed in a YouTube video that he had been scammed worth $3.5 Million since the cards inside the box were G.I Joe Cards, and not Pokemon. Now, Twitch streamer PaymoneyWubby has decided to give his comments about the whole drama.

PaymoneyWubby called the Pokemon scam ‘stupid’ and said that it could have been avoided.

What Did PaymoneyWubby Say?

“I have purchased six-figure sealed boxes of vintage cards in the past,” PaymoneyWubby began. “I have boxes that I own that could be fake, but here are my two takes: Why is there a company authenticating a cardboard box like this?

“Here’s who I blame more than anything though: everyone who has purchased this box is stupid. Why would you not have some sort of deal where I will purchase this, but we have to open it on camera, determine it’s legit, and then seal it on camera? I’m so baffled by that.”

Wubby added: “Why would you buy a $3.5 million box of cardboard? What blows my mind too, you didn’t even need to do all of that. You could have weighed this box because I know the G.I. Joe cards don’t weigh as much as the Pokemon cards. It would have been so far off you’d know instantly. This is so stupid.”

“Because it’s all probably fake Wubby,” one person commented.
