Drake Arrives in Sydney

Canadian rap superstar Drake has made a grand arrival in Sydney, landing in the iconic harbour city on a massive Boeing 757-23A.

The 38-year-old Grammy-winning artist touched down on Friday morning after a stop in Melbourne, continuing his much-anticipated Australian tour.

Known for his lavish lifestyle, Drake arrived with a large entourage, emphasising his signature larger-than-life presence.

The aircraft that carried him, registered to a Bank of Utah Trustee, was a sight to behold, showcasing the kind of luxury and exclusivity that fans have come to expect from the hip-hop mogul.

Interestingly, this wasn’t the rapper’s famous private jet, ‘Air Drake’—a custom Boeing 767 valued at an estimated $292 million.

Originally gifted to him through a partnership with Canadian cargo airline Cargojet, ‘Air Drake’ has been a defining symbol of the rapper’s opulent travels.

However, the artist is currently redesigning the aircraft with an ambitious space-themed makeover, adding another layer of extravagance to his already impressive fleet.

To highlight the immense scale of Drake’s jet, consider this: Taylor Swift’s plane, which famously flew her boyfriend Travis Kelce to Sydney for her Eras Tour last February, was a significantly smaller Bombardier Global 6000.

Known for his extravagant and jet-setting lifestyle, Drake continues to showcase his taste for luxury.

During his two-week stay in Australia, the God’s Plan hitmaker treated his 143 million Instagram followers to a glimpse inside his lavish Crown Melbourne presidential villa, which costs a staggering $25,000 per night.

At his Wednesday night concert at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena, Drake made headlines by gifting $50,000 to a pregnant fan who held up a sign asking him to reveal the gender of her unborn child onstage.

His visit to Australia also happened to align with Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show on Monday, where Lamar performed Not Like Us—his Grammy-winning diss track aimed at Drake—featuring a surprise cameo from Drake’s ex, Serena Williams.

Though he has yet to respond to what some have called a global “humiliation,” with millions watching the NFL finale, Drake made a subtle move by tweaking the lyrics to his song Knife Talk during his Melbourne concert after the Super Bowl.
