In the festive season, it seems that some cheeky trolls have taken it upon themselves to add a touch of humor to Piers Morgan’s holiday spirit. However, the broadcaster was far from amused when he found himself at the center of an annual tradition of being compared to one of the characters from the beloved film, Home Alone 2.
Piers Morgan, known for his candid and often controversial remarks, was recently bombarded with a flood of tweets featuring images of Brenda Fricker, the actress who portrayed the Pigeon Lady in the iconic Christmas movie.
The resemblance, according to the cheeky trolls, was uncanny. However, Piers was having none of it and took to Twitter to set the record straight.
Posting a picture of the enigmatic character who forms a friendship with Kevin McCallister in the Christmas movie, Piers emphasised, “It’s. Not. Me,” accompanied by two angry emojis.
His vexation was ignited by a troll’s comment that read, “Watching Home Alone Lost in New York and forgot Piers Morgan has a role in this film,” followed by a crying emoji.
The banter dates back to 2018 when Piers Morgan’s son, Spencer, shared an image of the character, stating, “Chilled night watching Home Alone 2. Always forget you’re in it @piersmorgan.”
Fast forward to the present, with the film now over 30 years old, and it has evolved into a nostalgic time capsule of the nineties.
