While Dune may have garnered attention for its Hollywood heavyweights Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya, the prequel TV spin-off, Dune: Prophecy, is carving out its own space in the franchise’s storied universe.
At the center of this rising success is Australian actor Josh Heuston, whose captivating performance is quickly making him a household name.
Despite being described as a “breakout star,” Heuston is far from a newcomer. His resume boasts impressive roles in high-profile projects like Thor: Love and Thunder and Bali 2002.
He’s also won hearts in the Netflix reboot Heartbreak High, which has cemented his reputation as a versatile actor capable of handling complex characters. These achievements are a testament to his unyielding drive and dedication—qualities that earned him GQ’s Breakthrough Actor of the Year award in 2022.
For Heuston, success comes with a grounded approach. “I’m just taking it one day at a time and putting one foot in front of the other,” the 27-year-old actor shared during a recent interview with news.com.au.
This measured perspective seems to underpin his rapid rise, allowing him to remain focused amidst the frenzy of fame.
Dune: Prophecy takes place over 10,000 years before Paul Atreides’ (Chalamet) controversial rise to power, focusing on the Bene Gesserit—a formidable sisterhood whose members, including Paul’s mother, wield superhuman abilities gained through rigorous physical and mental training.
In the series, the Bene Gesserit is commanded by the formidable Valya Harkonnen, portrayed by Emily Watson.
Heuston portrays the charming and debonair Lord Constantine Corrino, the illegitimate yet widely admired son of Emperor Javicco (Mark Strong).
Constantly seeking his father’s approval, Constantine juggles his ambitions with a hedonistic lifestyle. Meanwhile, his sister, Princess Ynez (Sarah-Sofie Boussnina), the rightful heir to the Corrino throne, aspires to join the ranks of the Bene Gesserit.
However, a cascade of unexpected events throws their carefully laid plans into chaos.
