New Zealand got off to a good start in the Rugby Championship, beating Australia 57-22 at Eden Park to claim the Bledisloe Championship.
It is the 19th win for the All Blacks at Bledisloe Championship back-to-back. This game doubled as the second in a series of three Tests against Australia.
Streak Continues For The All Blacks
New Zealand ran eight attempts to record their highest scores against the Wallabies on home soil.
The All Blacks have not faced a defeat by Australia in Eden Park since 1986.
The Wallabies were six points behind at half-time but a host of second-half points gave New Zealand bonus points victory in a fast-paced, exciting game.
Australia’s Second Defeat In A Span Of A Week
The victory is the second time the All Blacks have played Australia in several weeks after beating the Wallabies 33-25 in the opening game of the Bledisloe Cup on 7 August.
New Zealand has also won a Tri-Nations match against Australia and Argentina in 2020, with South Africa absent due to a lack of playing time during the coronavirus time.
The Springboks – who have just emerged from beating the British and Irish Lions – will return to the Rugby Championship when they play Argentina later on Saturday.
