Chelsea will kickoff their defense of their Women’s Super League title against tough London rivals Arsenal in the first weekend of the 2021-22 season.
The champions have a tough start to the new campaign with a home game against Everton, and then a trip to Manchester United.
Season To Begin 3-5 September
Meanwhile, newly promoted Leicester City will also be heading to Aston Villa for their first team game of the season in the WSL.
The new season begins on the weekend of 3-5 September.
Early Fixtures
Talking of the other teams of the tournament, last season’s runner up Manchester City are at Everton for away game, Brighton to host West Ham while Tottenham are at home to play against Birmingham City.
The first Manchester derby of the new WSL season is scheduled not quite far. It will be taking place on the weekend of October 8-10.
Thrilling Matches
On November 12-14, Birmingham City will host arch rivals Aston Villa, and we will also get to see the north London derby between Tottenham and Chelsea travel to rivals Manchester City.
Aston Villa v Birmingham City is also going to happen on the last weekend of the season.
The BBC will show WSL on its free to air network for the first time in a three-year “outstanding” deal starting this season.
The BBC will broadcast 22 live matches, with at least 18 shown on BBC One or BBC Two.
Sky Sports will provide up to 44 matches identified on Main Main, Premier League and Sky Sports Football channels.
