As expected, Thursday night’s episode of The Project was full of shocking scenes from the Washington DC riots, in which supporters of US President Donald Trump attacked the Capitol.
Displaying video footage of the assault on democracy, Lisa couldn’t help but passionately express how she was feeling, especially toward Trump and his actions.
What Did She Say?
“You feel like you’re watching a bad movie, don’t you?” she began.
“The guy is clearly unhinged. The fact that he refuses allow this peaceful transfer of power, in my mind makes him a criminal,” she continued.
“Mike Pence has been loyal to him for four years, there was no thanks to Pence today from Trump. All of those people who have allowed this to happen, it was always going to end like this. However, it is bad enough to watch this Great Western democracy just fall apart. ”
Scenes At The Capitol Building
The nation’s capital has been forced to impose a curfew at 6pm on Wednesday local time, following an unprecedented siege at the US Capitol Building.
Protesters broke into the legislature during a congressional hearing, and state police tried to apprehend them.
The protests quickly escalated into violence as Trump supporters marched on to the Capitol.
The siege left at least four people dead, one by gunshot, with countless people injured.

A woman has been shot dead during today’s violent protests in Washington DC since she was brutally ridiculed by social media.
U.S. media reported that a woman was shot dead as Republican protesters stormed the Capitol in protest of Democrat Joe Biden’s election victory.
The disturbing video of the shooting began circulating online almost immediately, and the victim was later identified as Ashli Babbitt, a California air force veteran and a staunch Trump supporter living in San Diego, her husband Aaron told KUSI-TV earlier today.
Mrs Babbitt’s mother-in-law Robin Babbitt also spoke about the family’s disappearance in an interview with the New York Post.
“I’m numb. I’m devastated. Nobody from DC notified my son and we found out on TV,” Robin Babbitt said, adding her son’s wife was “a Trump supporter”.
In fact, Ms. Babbitt’s social media accounts were full of her political views, and she vowed to fight for Mr. Trump’s presidency in her last post on Twitter.
“Nothing will stop us … they can try and try and try but the storm is here and it is descending upon DC in less than 24 hours … dark to light!” she posted on January 6.
But soon after the discovery of the victim’s identity, the vicious Troll trolls began to attack, filling her account with vicious attacks, laughing at grief and calling her a “dead terrorist” and a “snowflake”.
“Play stupid games and win stupid prizes,” wrote one troll, and another posted: “How could it work for you? Was it worth it?”
“When she said dark to light she didn’t realise she was going literally to the light. Wow. Life comes at u pretty fast,” another said, while another wrote: “What a dumb way to die.”
Many others refrained from insulting the deceased woman but insisted that they had “absolutely no sympathy” for the injured while committing “insurgency”.
