Here we sit down with Poua, to learn a bit more about her journey as an entrepreneur.

Q. Tell us a little more about your journey as an entrepreneur – how did you get started? What inspired you?

Pouya: My entrepreneurship journey ties in very closely with my life story, and it is also the source of my unrelenting drive. I possessed a perspective that many younger individuals did not which led me down the unconventional path. I decided at the age of sixteen that I would pursue business and the path of self-education as opposed to the traditional path of formal education. I took pride in my decision and followed it up with action. I began to try various entrepreneurial ventures, read every book I could get my hands on relating to business, and re-invested every dollar in my self-education.

I realized very early on that I need to develop valuable skills which will serve me in the marketplace and at the top of the list was, you guessed it, sales. I began sharpening my sales skills, testing theories out, pushing limits, and doing my very best to understand and utilize human psychology to my benefit.

Long story short that path led me down a decade of sales and business experience across 7 industries, building sales teams for well-established companies, working alongside celebrity entrepreneurs, and landing multiple 7-figure deals all before the age of 25. Naturally, I continued on and opened my training and consulting services to sales professionals and entrepreneurs around the world.

Q. What is your long-term goal in business? – paint a vision for the future.

Pouya: I am genuinely trying to teach proven sales and business strategies from a place of experience and not a theory in order to help the small guy get ahead in life. I have a lot of other goals, and they evolve and expand as I do.

Q. What motivates you?

Pouya: Perspective. I was born and raised in a different part of the world where opportunity is not abundant. I do not come from money and was never given anything. Everything I have is earned in every sense of the word. This is why I always say and will continue to say my mantra… EARNED, not given.

Q. What business-related book has inspired you the most? Or, What is your favorite book?

Pouya: Any answer I give you will overlook the main point which is it doesn’t matter… a single book or piece of information will not create your ideal future. Read them all, do the work, have a clear purpose, and get after it!

Q. What is the most memorable thing you’ve done since you started your business?

Pouya: One of my mentors at a young age said this quote and I have applied it ever since, “Early to bed early to rise, work like hell and advertise.” In terms of optimization, I wake up early and do the work.

Q. If you were to write a book about yourself, what would you name it?

Pouya: It would probably be titled “Against all odds” because that is the real story. Another title could be “Always grateful, never satisfied” though I’m not sure if people would want to read that book. It’s who I am and what I genuinely believe.

Q. What is one of the best or most worthwhile investments you’ve ever made?

Pouya: Easy question, investing in myself. No question.

Q. Where do you see the future in your niche/industry 3-5 years from now?

Pouya: I believe the online world and especially the creator economy is only beginning and the future is bright. I am always optimistic long term. We are in the midst of a massive shift, and those who are positioned correctly will stand to benefit. As Charlie Munger said, “opportunity meets the prepared mind.”

Q. What is your ‘one-sentence’ piece of advice you’d like to give to someone who wants to become an entrepreneur, coach or business owner?

Pouya: My advice would be to figure out who you truly want to become and pursue that path. Entrepreneurship like any other space is extremely competitive and if you want to win you must have a real purpose around your work. I believe success requires longevity, and longevity requires passion.
