India posted Australia with the target of 303 where Pandya scored 92 * off 76 and Jadeja 66 * off 50. Australia waall-out in 289, and Aaron Finch (75) and Glenn Maxwell (59) made it past half-centuries. Shardul Thakur won three wickets and Jasprit Bumrah and Natarajan won two wickets each.

Australia’s Chase

Chasing for Australia started with the first early wicket, which is unprecedented in recent times in India. Marnus Labuschagne was bowled out by first-time player T Natarajan in just seven runs. Aaron Finch also had to fall cheap but the catch of Dinch was missed by Shikhar Dhawan off Jasprit Bumrah.

Finch also got another piece of luck the next time when Hardik Pandya could not hit directly with the batsman miles out of his space. He received more and more luck as plenty of mishits went to areas where there were no fielders. Bumrah also failed to capture the tough chance of the Australian captain’s return.

India were also lucky, when Steve Smith was caught behind Shardul Thakur’s leg by just 7 runs after hitting two hundred in the first two games.

The Indian Side’s Gameplay

It looks like India could have reached 250 but Pandya and Jadeja made it a different story. The two took a moment to relax down before opening the flood gates at the boundaries. They got 53 runs from 46th to 48th over alone. In total, 76 runs came from the last five overs.

Pandya’s innings were four and seven 4s and one 6 and Jadeja was on top, hitting five boundaries and three sixes. Apart from Kohli, Pandya and Jadeja, other batsmen fought hard on the track after India opted to strike.

Virat Kohli Scripts History

Virat Kohli broke Sachin Tendulkar’s record and became the fastest 12000 ODI during the third ODI against Australia at the Manuka Oval on Wednesday. Tendulkar reached the milestone when he played 300 games against Pakistan in Centurion in South Africa at the 2003 World Cup, and Kohli set a record for his 242 ODI innings – 58 innings less than Tedulkar’s take – with 23 points. The young manager scored 98 runs in 75 games which he delivered in one of the most outstanding performances in his career.

Prior to the start of the match, Kohli averaged 11977 runs in 241 innings with a score of 59.29 and a strike of 93.32 including 43 and 59 59 runs. He finally reached the first ball of the 12th over when he took one pacer Sean Abbott.

AUS vs IND: Virat Kohli Breaks Sachin Tendulkar's Record, Is The Fastest To 12,000 ODI Runs | Cricket News

Only 6 batsmen including Tendulkar in the history of ODI cricket have surpassed 12000 runs. Ricky Ponting reached a record 314 innings, Kumar Sangakkara in 336, Sanath Jayasuriya in 379 and Mahela Jayawardene in 399. The fact that Kohli has reached the 12000th Club in just 242 innings speaks volumes about his size and consistency in format.

Another figure that shows Kohli’s dominance in ODI cricket is his comparison to his career with Tendulkar after the same games. Tendulkar was a professional and the best of his time in ODI cricket. In the same category in his field (like Kohli) he had a total of 9237 runs in 42.17 runs with each run of 86.41 strikes including two hundred and fifty and fifty. There is a staggering 2740 run and 18 hundred runs between him and Kohli after their 241 innings.

Even though one made the average rating and strike rate on average over time, the ability to make Kohli run put him far ahead of Tendulkar, which was interestingly because he was a more aggressive man in his time than Kohli in today’s ODI cricket. at the well-functioning 12000 Club in Centurion, just a few kilometers from the South African capital, Pretoria.
