The world’s top Tennis star from Australia, Ashleigh Barty, warmed up for her performance in the US Open by triumphing in the Cincinnati Open with a direct victory over Jil Teichmann in the final.
Barty, 25, put on an exceptional game for the viewers to beat the 24-year-old Swiss wildcard 6-3 6-1.
Fifth Title Of The Season
Australia’s Ashleigh has managed eight aces and 28 winners while sailing to another winning ship of her career.
Talking about the men’s games, Alexander Zverev took the men’s title with a phenomenal 6-2 6-3 victory over Andrey Rublev.
It is the fifth title of the season for Barty. She is eyeing the most popular US Open title for adding to her Wimbledon title.
Teichmann’s Journey To The Finals
Teichmann was on the 76th ranked but managed to reach the final by beating the four-time Grand Slam winner Naomi Osaka, fourth seed Karolina Pliskova and Olympic gold medallist Belinda Bencic, but she failed to triumph over Barty’s experience, skill, and precision.
Barty took control in the middle of the first set and was rarely put under stress by the Swiss wildcard as she won the first five games of the second.
While Teichmann managed to break the serve of Barty for the first time in the sixth game of the second set, Barty stepped back to take the big show.

“To my team, we’ve been on the road for nearly six months but it’s been a joy every single day so thank you for hanging in there with me,” said Barty.
“It’s been awesome, you’ve kept me in one piece and we’ve certainly enjoyed every single minute.”
What Happened In The Men’s Finals?
Olympic champion Zverev, 24, carried on with his win streak of 11 games by sending Russia’s Rublev back to the stands and clinching the men’s finals.
The German, who is hoping to go one better at the US Open after losing last year’s final to Dominic Thiem, outplayed Rublev to take the first 6-2.
